Re: Expel the Islamic Republic delegation from ILO
We are asking the international labor delegates not to approve the credential of the delegates of Islamic Republic of Iran at ILO and ask them to leave the assembly in Geneva. The regime of Islamic republic of Iran has continually violated the basic workers’ rights and has arrested and imprisoned workers in Iran for no reason. The right to organize and strike, which are among the fundamental labor rights have always been denied and had been answered by inhuman, stone age treatments and left the workers in Iran unprotected, Workers in Iran face persecution, arrest and imprisonment for attempting to celebrate May Day, for example Mahmoud Salehi spent time in jail for just doing so. Yet this year, Javanmir Moradi and Taha Azadi, 2 labor organizers have been arrested for planning the May Day celebration in southern Iran and the government does not give information on their state and their where about to their families. Workers in Iran do not receive their wages for several months and are arrested for demanding their unpaid wages. Workers in Iran have received many solidarity and supporting letters from the international labor organizations who have condemned the Islamic regime in Iran for the violation of the basic labor rights. However, the Islamic regime has not been paying attention to the concerns of the world labor organizations and continues to attack workers and oppresses them by tear gas and batons. During the last few weeks, workers at Alborz tire plant in Tehran and workers of Haft Tappeh sugar plant in city of Andimeshk have been attacked several times for demanding their wages and protecting their jobs,You all know that Mansour Osanlou, who attended the ILO meeting last year is still in jail. It is for all these reasons that we seek your solidarity and support for the freedom of labor leaders in Iran and the expelling of the delegation of the Islamic regime from ILO. In solidarity,
Abbas Mohammadi
